Rio with its spectacular setting between the sea and the striking mountains, has Corcovado and Sugar Loaf as the greatest landmarks. The splendid beaches are filled with the fun loving natives known as 'Cariocas' and there is great nightlife to enjoy.
Salvador da Bahia was Brazil's first capital and has many historical sights including impressive churches and the Pelourinho old quarter, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The beaches of Bahia are among the best in the country and the culture has a strong African heritage influence. |

Overnight flight to Rio de Janeiro. |

Day 6 - Rio / Salvador
Morning transfer for your flight to Salvador (Bahia). Arrival transfer to your hotel and rest of the day free to do as you please. (B) |

Day 2 - Rio de Janeiro
Early morning arrival. Transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax and explore the surroundings. Dinner at a Churrascaria is recommended. |

Day 7 - Salvador
Morning tour of Salvador, including visits to the city's main churches, the Carmo Museum and Pelourinho Old Quarter, protected by UNESCO as World Cultural Patrimony. Afternoon free. In the evening an optional "Bahia by Night" tour with folklore is suggested. (B) |

Day 3 - Rio de Janeiro
Morning tour of Corcovado Mountain, with its landmark statue of Christ the Redeemer, for a breathtaking view of the city. Continue through the park to the Tijuca Forest. Afternoon optional complimentary visit to a Gem factory. In the evening an optional Samba Show at a nightclub. (B) |

Day 8 - Salvador
Day free. You can go on an optional tour of the picturesque village of Cachoeira, go on a Schooner Cruise, hunt for bargains at Mercado Modelo or simply relax at the beach near your hotel. (B) |

Day 4-5 - Rio de Janeiro
Days free to do as you please. You can go on optional tours of Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Imperial City of Petropolis or a schooner cruise of the Tropical Islands. Time to relax at one of Rio's fabulous beaches. In the evenings enjoy the city's great nightlife. (B) |
