Cachoeira – Picturesque village in Brazil's oldest farmland, with a colorful market, wood sculptors, ateliers and the Sisterhood of Boa Morte, a sorority dating back to the slavery period.
Itaparica – The largest of 36 tropical islands in a sparkling bay, with beautiful sandy beaches, that can be reached by schooner cruise from Salvador.
Pelourinho – Salvador's old quarter was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Among its many treasures are beautiful Baroque churches and the Sacred Art Museum.
Praia do Forte – Fishing village north of Salvador, with the ruins of a 15th century castle, pristine beaches and the center for preservation of the sea turtle
Solar do Unhao – Colonial complex dating back to 18th century, with church, sugar refinery, manor house, slave quarters, where folklore shows are held.

  Day 1 - USA / Salvador
Overnight flight to Salvador (Bahia).
    Day 4-7 - Salvador
Days at leisure to discover Bahia your own way. You can go on an optional tour of Cachoeira, a picturesque village in the mountains with rich Afro-Brazilian history, or the fabulous North Beaches; hunt for bargains at Mercado Modelo or relax at the beach near your hotel. (B)
             
  Day 2 - Salvador
Arrival Transfer. Rest of the day free to relax and explore the surroundings.
    Day 8 - Salvador/USA
Morning free. Afternoon or evening departure for your return flight to USA. (B)
             
  Day 3 - Salvador
Morning tour of Salvador, including visits to the city's main churches, the Carmo Museum and Pelourinho Old Quarter, protected by UNESCO as World Cultural Patrimony. Afternoon free. In the evening an optional "Bahia by Night" tour with folklore is suggested. (B)
