After seeing the many attractions of San Jose, you can go white water rafting in nearby Reventazon River. Cruising the canals of Tortuguero National Park on an escorted tour of the lush sub-tropical jungle, you will see a variety of birds, monkeys and other wildlife. Manuel Antonio, where many young people gather in outdoor beach-front esplanades, has a combination of the National Park with dense vegetation and beautiful sandy beaches, as well as the quaint village of Quepos with a variety of restaurants and bars. |

Day 1 - USA / San Jose
Morning flight departure to San Jose.
Transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. |

Day 5 - Tortuguero
Your morning boat tour will take you through one of the most biologically diverse areas in the country. The National Park of Tortuguero is a nesting site for the green turtle and you will have the opportunity to see monkeys and other mammals, as well as an immense variety of birds. The afternoon is at leisure and you can rent a canoe to explore the area at your own pace. (B,L,D) |

Day 2 - San Jose
Today you can go on an optional city tour of San Jose, including visits to La Sabana Metropolitan Museum, the National Theater and the National Museum, where you will see fine examples of pre-Columbian art. |

Day 6 - Tortuguero / Manuel Antonio
Early morning departure for your flight via San Jose to Quepos. Transfer to your hotel near Manuel Antonio National Park. The rest of the day is free to relax and explore the surroundings at Manuel Antonio. (B) |

Day 3 - San Jose
Day free. An optional tour White Water Rafting on the Reventazon River is recommended. The journey down the Reventazon begins with a series of easy rapids and gradually builds up to the more challenging rapids, giving you the opportunity to gain confidence and enjoy the scenery. |

Day 7-8 - Manuel Antonio
To enter Manuel Antonio National Park you have to walk through a few feet of shallow ocean water, which gives you a sense of adventure. Inside you will see a variety of birds and you may also find trogons, herons and monkeys. Between your exploratory walks, you can enjoy a swim in the park's white sand beach, considered the best in Costa Rica. |

Day 4 - San Jose / Tortuguero
This morning travelling east towards the Caribbean Coast, you will visit Braulio Carrillo National Park and will see a variety of landscapes including cloud forest, dense jungle, rivers and waterfalls. On the coast you will board a boat, which will take you through the Tortuguero canals to the Lodge. (L,D) |
