A self-drive vacation in Costa Rica is the ideal way to explore the country's ecological wonders and discover the heart of a nation that is noted for its safety and high level of education of the population, many of whom speak English fluently. The road conditions around the urban areas are good, but in the more remote parts of the countryside can be basic and driving with caution is recommended. Travelling through picturesque countryside to visit Poas and Arenal volcanos, as well as the Cano Negro wildlife reserve and Monteverde Cloud Forest, there will many opportunities to see wildlife in its natural habitat and mingle with the friendly locals. |
